I just finished my first year as a neuroscience major at the University of Cincinnati, but this summer I'm spending two months working in a microbiology lab at the University of Kentucky. I'm using this experience to meet requirements set by the University Honors Program at UC, but I also want to use this time to improve my research skills and figure out exactly what I want to do when I graduate.

The Spectrophotometer!
The spectrophotometer. It looks pretty simple--and it could probably pass for a copier if you got rid of that mildly conspicuous box on top--but it's one of the greatest things about this lab.
